Uniplan Hong Kong has announced the sudden departure of its managing director, Darren Chuckry, after less than 12 months in the role.
Chuckry joined Uniplan in 2010 where he helped foster the events business. Over the years, he has successfully grown the business with events in Hong Kong and Macau. Uniplan promoted Chuckry from executive client services director of Asia to lead Hong Kong’s operations in November 2017.
“Darren contributed greatly to Uniplan’s successes in the Hong Kong market and we wish him the best in his future endeavours,” says Uniplan CEO, Christian Zimmermann.
“With increasing business opportunities and a strong talent pool, Hong Kong will remain one of our core markets as we continue to focus on a strengthened business approach to better serve our clients in the region.”
Until a new managing director is appointed, Judd Christie, executive creative director, will oversee and lead the office in close collaboration with Christian Zimmermann.
The agency stated that creative and operational forces at Uniplan Hong Kong will remain unchanged during this time.
