Get Global took the Australian business events market by storm when it launched in Sydney last year.
Founded by industry stalwarts, Gary Bender and Donna Kessler, the one-day trade event received positive feedback from both buyers and sellers, who praised the flexible approach to business.
This year, organisers upped the ante with creative food stations and an ‘Inspiration Corner’ that provided a knowledge programme with a series of TED-style presentations.
We sat down with the Get Global founders to understand more about the unique event format and possible expansion plans for the future:
This year’s Get Global event, which took place at the ICC Sydney last month, attracted 286 local and international buyers and 140 international sellers from more than 20 countries.
Looking ahead, Bender, said: “We are thrilled to announce we will be back in July 2019. But having sold out of our exhibitor spaces this year, with the opportunity to sell many more, we’ll inevitability have to look for expanded or alternative event space for 2019. I expect an increase of over 30 per cent of both buyers and exhibitors next year.”
