Long-time IMEX staffer, Nalan Emre, steps into newly created position.
The IMEX Group has appointed Nalan Emre to the newly created role of chief operating officer.
Emre has worked for the company for more than 16 years and, in her new role, will be responsible for directing all operational policies and structures, and will collaborate with the chairman, CEO and financial director to set company strategy, forecasts and plans.
Emre says she is “delighted” about her new role. “I’m passionate about sustainability and its increasing importance in the meetings and events sector. Sustainability is a long-held value of the IMEX Group and our shows, and I hope to develop this further in my new role.”
IMEX Group CEO, Carina Bauer, says: “Nalan is a highly knowledgeable and respected member of the team with a deep understanding of the meetings and events industry and the professionals who are part of it. Meanwhile, Mark Mulligan, who has worked for IMEX since 2011, will step into Nalan’s former role to become director of operations. He will be responsible for directing all operational processes for IMEX Frankfurt and IMEX America.
