TCEB rolls out new campaign to co-create events

Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau calls for global collaboration in creating new business event strategies.

Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) launched its 2019 destination marketing campaign at IMEX America this week. Titled, Thailand: REDEFINE Your Business Events, aims to transform the organisation’s role as a supporter and marketer of business events, to become an enabler and relationship builder within the business events industry.

The campaign calls for collaboration between the Thai business events community and international event planners to create new event content and strategies that will drive stronger return on business, time and happiness.  TCEB will co-create new MICE events that align with national economic policies, such as the Thailand 4.0 economic master plan.

TCEB’s senior vice president, Nichapa Yoswee (pictured), explained: “In this ever-changing world, transformation and collaboration are fundamental and inevitable, especially in the business landscape. Capital is not just a crucial driver of business success, but it also helps to deliver fresh perspectives.

“Thailand welcomes business events which centre on knowledge, creativity and culture, and provide opportunities to gain invaluable experience. As part of our new campaign, we welcome global event planners to collaborate with our Thai community to create new experiences for their participants using Thailand’s rich content.”

TCEB has developed powerful new industry partnerships with Events Travel Asia Group (ETA), who will provide transportation for site inspections, and Dusit Hotels and Resorts Thailand, who will offer complimentary accommodation at 10 of their properties across the country for planners visiting Thailand for site inspections.  In addition, Thai Airways International and Thai Smile Airways will offer complimentary air tickets for international and domestic flights.

A cash reward programme has also been introduced to MICE agents and intermediaries with groups of more than 1,000 delegates, or those who spend more than 30 million baht (approx. US$ 915,000) and cash incentives.
