MyCeb’s Ho Yoke Ping to shake up MACEOS

Industry trailblazer joins Malaysia’s business events industry association as executive director.

The Malaysian Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (MACEOS) has announced the appointment of Ho Yoke Ping as its new executive director.

As a leading figure in Malaysia’s business events industry, Ping is set to inject a fresh perspective into the 29-year-old association. Key to her role will be enhancing the profile of MACEOS through strategic communication plans, government relations, and industry collaborations.

Ping brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, with more than 20 years’ experience in the business events and tourism industry. She was part of the founding team behind the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), and most recently served as MyCeb’s general manager – business events. She also played a key role in driving the establishment of the Malaysia Society of Association Executives (MySAE) and the formation of the Business Events Council of Malaysia (BECM).

“I have worked with MACEOS countless times previously and have a good understanding of where the association wants to elevate itself and the industry,” Ping says. “It is a crucial moment and important for MACEOS to continue to lead in communicating the value of business events to Malaysians and beyond.”

MACEOS president, Dato’ Vincent Lim, says the association is now in a strong position to grow to “the next level”.

“Ping’s reputation in the industry is formidable and it is an honour to have her on board,” he says.
