Educational sessions scheduled in eight countries including Australia, China, India, Japan and Indonesia in 2019.
PCMA is strengthening its footing in Asia Pacific in 2019. As well as the return of its APAC Annual Conference, the Chicago-based organisation will also extend its localised Knowledge Exchange programme in new destinations.
“As a well-respected and long-standing provider of education and networking opportunities, PCMA understands the business events industry and the needs of professionals, corporations and destinations,” PCMA’s regional business director in APAC, Antonio Codinach, said. “Business travel in Asia-Pacific continues to grow and PCMA is uniquely positioned to help the region’s meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibition industry meet demand.”
PCMA has nearly tripled its Knowledge Exchange sessions in APAC by extending the invitation-only regional events to eight countries in 2019. These free one-day education programmes will focus on discussions that spark innovation, connections and enhance learning, while previous Knowledge Exchanges have focused on event safety, crisis communication or leveraging technology.
Topics for 2019 will include the Halal customer in business events, event sustainability, talent acquisition and engagement, and tech/innovation.
The first Knowledge Exchange is scheduled for 28 March at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Additional sessions will be held in Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing, Dehli, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Melbourne, Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, and Xiamen.
