New hotel in Xi’an will be part of a 300,000 sqm mixed-use complex.
Accor Greater China recently announced the signing of Sofitel Xi’an South, slated for completion in the next few years. The new hotel will be part of Nanfeihong Plaza, a 300,000 sqm mixed-use complex situated in the Qujiang District, a 45 minutes’ drive to Xi’an International Airport.
Designed by award-winning architect Aedas, the hotel will feature 280 guest rooms and suites, three restaurants, and a 800 sqm grand ballroom alongside six meeting rooms. Rounding out the facilities is a business center and executive lounge as well as a lobby lounge for casual meetings.
Gary Rosen, chairman and chief operating officer, Accor Greater China, says: “Sofitel Xi’an South’s opening will be the group’s newest landmark in the ancient Chinese capital and offers a unique French luxury hospitality experience.
“This will be the 11th Accor hotel in Xi’an. I am particularly excited to announce this groundbreaking partnership with Shaanxi Nanfeihong Industrial for our first project together.”
Sofitel currently operates more than 120 hotels, including 23 hotels in Greater China with the recent addition of Sofitel Beijing Central.
