In his retirement, Daly will pursue advisory roles in various organisations.
Gary Daly, CEO of Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF), has announced his intention to retire, effective from the end of October 2019.
Daly, who has been at the helm of ETF for almost seven years, has overseen major growth and development across the company, with each event in the portfolio seeing an average 15 – 20% growth on revenue, visitor and exhibition numbers over this time. He also founded The Business of Events in 2019.
Tony Chamberlain, managing director of Encore Event Technologies, ETF’s parent company says Daly has played a critical role in the development and success of Exhibitions & Trade Fairs.
“While we will miss him and his leadership, we wish him well in his retirement. We want to thank him for his dedication and hard work which involved many significant accomplishments over his seven-year tenure,” Chamberlain says.
“He has mentored and contributed to the careers of many people in the industry and his impact is highly significant.”
Under Daly’s stewardship, ETF won eight highly coveted Events and Exhibition Association of Australasia (EEAA) awards.
Prior to joining ETF, Daly was the general manager, sales at Luna Park for eight years, and previously held a number of senior management and sales positions in media and events.
In his retirement, Daly will pursue advisory roles in various organisations in order to continue to share his knowledge.
His replacement will be announced shortly.
