New leadership to focus on regional growth and customer centricity.
International brand experience company, Freeman, has appointed Debbie Evans as managing director for Asia Pacific.
In her new role, Evans will be in charge of providing insights and growth strategies for the region, and encouraging a more collaborative culture between offices to deliver customer-centric experiences.
Freeman currently has four offices across Asia Pacific, located in Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Evans will be based in Singapore reporting to Adam Charles, executive vice president, corporate brand experience.
Evans said Freeman has established a “strong foothold” in APAC and that she looks forward to “taking the brand to the next level”.
Evans brings to the role some 30 years of international leadership experience in the exhibition and events sector.
Prior to this appointment, Evans served as president of Reed Exhibitions (RX) in South East Asia and Australia. At RX, she worked through the ranks, joining as a manager of Reed Gift Fairs to become group exhibition director before assuming the responsibility of managing director for RX Australia in 2008 and then being promoted to her role of president in 2014.
Commenting on the appointment, Charles said: “We are excited for Debbie to join us in this role. She comes to Freeman with rich experience in the industry across the Asia Pacific region. At Freeman, she will be leading the charge in sustainably growing our business and identifying new opportunities for our brand to evolve and innovate within the industry.”
