Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) launches ‘I M PEOPLE FOCUSED‘ – a new marketing campaign to stimulate the return of international incentive travel programmes and corporate meetings.
According to Nichapa Yoswee, Senior Vice President – Strategic Marketing and Business Development at TCEB, the campaign was inspired by the success of their first ‘Customer Care Update’ sent in early April 2020. The message ‘everyone matters’ and the applauding of industry professionals who helped others in need were well-received by global communities because TCEB focused on people’s well-being at a time when the industry was starting to experience the devastating impacts of COVID-19.
‘I M PEOPLE FOCUSED‘ acknowledges the adaptability and agility of the business events industry. It promises to treat event professionals as individuals and emphasises that Thailand will support event organisers’ success when collaborating with Thailand.
Underpinning this new marketing campaign is a collaborative financial grant called EASE UP. Event organisers have access to half a million US dollars in financial support from TCEB plus complementary products and services from participating Thailand-based partners.
The Thai business events industry anticipates the ban on international flights into Thailand to lift in July. SITE Thailand President, Max Boontawee Jantasuwan said, “This campaign has come at a right time. Incentive travel and meetings are important revenue streams to Thailand. We hope that as Thailand eases inbound travel restrictions, our regional supporters from China, Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Australia can return to experience our authentic hospitality once again.”
