Now that the industry is seeing some fragile signs of recovery with the recommencement of meetings and events, particularly in Asia, pent-up demand may just be what the incentive travel industry needs to get back on its feet.
As Padraic Gilligan, Chief Marketing Officer for the Society of Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) says in this episode of BEA CONVERSATIONS, “If you want me to value something, take it away from me. Now I value it even more.” Gilligan gives his take on the future of incentive travel, why industry professionals should take the Incentive Travel Industry Index (ITII) survey, and talks about the recently concluded SITE Young Leaders’ Conference.
It may seem strange to proceed with ITII in a year with little incidence of incentive travel, but Gilligan says it is imperative for the industry to help provide data on how incentive travel is performing globally – its nature, its purpose and its direction.
