Ramesh Ganeson has been appointed general manager to manage Element Kuala Lumpur, the first Element Hotels in Southeast Asia.

Ganeson brings nine years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new role, which includes in-depth knowledge in hotel operations and digital marketing.

The enthusiastic hotelier began his career with Starwood Hotels and Resorts as Field Marketing Manager where he bagged multiple awards for Best Hotel Digital Manager and soon expanded his role in Singapore and Indonesia to oversee 26 properties after delivering year-on-year revenue growth.

In 2010, Ganeson served as the Regional Director of Operational Excellence and Global Initiatives; his major achievements include launching various hotels and increasing the Guest Experience Index Score for the overall region.

One his appointment, Ganeson said that he is thrilled to introduce a product that is built green from the ground up. “We have carved ourselves different from our competitors by offering eco-conscious practices in a cutting-edge design building. I am excited to be part of an energetic team.”

Element Kuala Lumpur is the highest eco-conscious hotel in Malaysia. Situated in the heart of the city within the 275-metre high mixed-use Ilham Tower, the hotel is designed by the globally acclaimed Foster+Partners.

The hotel will feature 252 guest rooms in a range of spacious configurations from studio units to three-bedroom suites. Rooms will feature abundant natural light and modern décor, a spa-inspired bathroom, and all natural bath amenities.
